Help us Help the Spice Cats!
Help us Help the Spice Cats!
In October, Welcome Home Animal Sanctuary and Blue Barn Farm & Sanctuary joined forces to rescue 10 cats who were emaciated, sick and ultimately abandoned on a local property.
One kitten passed on, but THREE babies were nursed back to health, spayed and were adopted to a loving home!!!
One more cat has been adopted since, but FIVE more need your help!
Please spread the word!!
The Spice Cats, rescued in November, are now healthy and available for ADOPTION!!!

The Blue Barn Cookbook Has Arrived
Our labor or love is finally complete!
This compilation tells the stories of our residents, explores the benefits of a plant based diet, and shares SO MANY delicious recipes!
All proceeds benefit our residents and the work of our mission. We hope you will enjoy using it half as much as we loved creating it.
Mission
Blue Barn promotes kindness, compassion and empathy by connecting humans of all ages with farm animals rescued from a life of abuse, neglect and abandonment.

Tony
This waterfowl friend has A LOT to say and he’ll speak to anyone who will listen!!! When not seeking the affection of visitors, Tony enjoys taking long baths, hanging with his bestie, Fonzie, and snacking on green peas.
Greta
Resident barn cat (who much prefers the house during the rainy season). If she’s not warming up by the fireplace, she’s greeting all the Blue Barn visitors. This girl LOVES allllll the attention from human friends!!!
Cosmo
Cosmo knows the importance of a good mud bath! She also enjoys napping, snack time, and walking in the sun. Cosmo loves a good belly rub and is eager to make friends!
Fluffy
Fluffy is the queen bee of the barn- full of both sweetness and sass! When she’s not exploring or munching on flowers and greens, she’ll gladly partake in some gentle pets from humans.
Humane education
Humane education nurtures compassion and respect for living beings. It encourages us to look at the inter-connected nature of human beings, animals and the environment, and use critical thinking when looking at the issues that confront our world today.
